Grand Rapids, MI. - June 3, 2021 - eVideon, a leader in interactive patient engagement and digital workflow solutions, today announced they will host a webinar to share results from a recently completed case study in partnership with Spectrum Health. The webinar, entitled Connecting Isolated Patients Without Endless Tech Troubleshooting will be held on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at 2:00pm EDT.

The webinar will highlight lessons learned from deploying a new video chat solution during the COVID-19 pandemic after cumbersome attempts to use commercially available solutions (such as Zoom, Teams, or Skype). Furthermore, as the teams continue to collect usage data, the webinar will provide updated information about ongoing usage, even as vaccinations become more widely available.

Attendees will learn about:

  • The struggles Spectrum Health and other hospitals/health systems faced in trying to connect isolated patients with loved ones throughout the COVID-19pandemic
  • How Spectrum Health was able to increase connections by approximately148% while alleviating burden on nursing staff
  • Why video chat solutions remain popular for patients regardless of isolation status
  • “What’s new” since the project launched in December 2020

“We had always wanted to develop a video visitor solution for hospitalized patients,” said Jeff Fallon, eVideon CEO. “But when the pandemic hit, we knew there was no time to waste. We couldn’t be more pleased with how our partnership with Spectrum Health has resulted in so many patients making connections and feeling less alone.”

“Beyond COVID-19, it’s really helped us to connect with people who aren’t physically close by,” said Amanda Knuth, manager of quality, safety, and experience at Spectrum Health. “Patients can connect with family and friends across the country. Making that connection to a loved one that they usually wouldn’t have during their hospital stay has made an otherwise difficult hospital stay a bit brighter.”

Hospital executives, nurses, clinicians, media outlets, and all who are passionate about transforming the healthcare experience are invited to attend.

Webinar registration is open. Register here.
