Grand Rapids, MI (February 26, 2016) — eVideon (www.evideon.com) announces it formed a partnership with PDi to design and manufacture touch screens and swing arm systems for TVs to enhance patient experience.

“We’ll be debuting the TVs at HIMSS16 in Las Vegas, February 29 - March 4. HIMSS16 is healthcare conference that brings together 40,000 health IT professionals and executives from around the world,” said Jeff Ingle, founder and president of eVideon. “We want to give tradeshow attendees the opportunity to see how the touch screen, swing arm system can work in their healthcare environment.”

PDi developed the hardware, which is combined with eVideon’s Patient Experience software that enhances the interactive system with one touch display. The flexible system:

• Creates a positive experience for patients, families and staff

• Easy-to-use, touch screen provides an intuitive, tablet-like experience

• Swing arm offers additional patient privacy options

• Can be used at bedsides and in environments like dialysis centers

The new touch screens and swing arms were also recently installed as part of the Patient Experience Platform in the VA Ann Arbor’s award-winning Healthcare System.

Serving as a referral center for specialty care, the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System operates 105 acute care beds and 40 Community Living Center (extended care) beds. More than 550,000 outpatient visits are made at its facilities annually and there were nearly 5,500 inpatient episodes of care provided in the hospital and extended care center.

The VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System is using eVideon throughout its facility to provide Veterans with a personalized experience that engages, educates and entertains them during their stay. Veterans have access to customized health education, television programming, movies on demand and hospital information on their in-room television or touch screen display.

“Our goal is to make the experience better for Veterans, staff and visitors by developing smarter ways to deliver information to them,” said Ingle.
