SNOWMASS VILLAGE, Colo. - April 1-6, 2018 - Technology companies eVideon and Iron Bow volunteer assistance as the National Disabled Veterans prepared for another momentous year of its Winter Sports Clinic. The sporting event empowers disabled veterans by creating a friendly, competition of extreme winter sports to put their limits to the test, including skiing, sled hockey, rock climbing and more has been held for over three decades. As a nonprofit, Winter Sports Clinic heavily relies on annual donations from companies and individuals.

The two tech companies supported the event by donating both equipment, including monitors and cables, and the man-hours to set up and maintain the equipment throughout the events.

The screens are a part of eVideon digital signage, designed specifically for healthcare. The digital signage kept participants up to date with event times and winners as well as sharing videos and photos from finished events. The visuals presented were simple to create and update without the need of a design team, lending to the agility of communication during the six-day event. All graphics and streaming were easily managed by one volunteer.

The event was another overwhelming success with DAV National Voluntary Services Director, John Kleindienst, stating:

“The National Disabled Veterans Winter Sports Clinic would not be possible without generous [sponsors.] DAV and VA are grateful not only for their financial support, but for dedicating their time as volunteers, helping bring miracles to the mountain for our nearly 400 participants. We are especially grateful for the signage they provided at the event, making event information more accessible to participants requiring visual aids.”
