The selection of eVideon was made after a competitive review process that included multiple global technology providers.
With over 3,900 trauma patients treated annually, Zuckerberg San Francisco General is known as the city’s busiest emergency room and the only Level One trauma center for the 1.5 million residents of San Francisco and northern San Mateo County.
In addition to leveraging the latest technology to improve patient care, the newly constructed nine-story, acute care hospital was built to meet strict seismic standards. The new hospital is designed to provide a warm, healing environment that features natural light, private patient rooms and a garden on the roof.
Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital will use eVideon throughout its facility to provide patients with a personalized experience. eVideon is an interactive system that’s accessed from a television at the patient’s bedside. eVideon’s platform delivers customized health education, television programming, movies on demand, hospital information, patient surveys and more.

For example, the hospital is adding its patient booklet on eVideon’s television platform to eliminate printing it in four languages (English, Spanish, Chinese and Tagalog), which will equate to a significant cost savings and provide patients with standardized information.
