eVideon is seeking a Lead Quality Assurance Engineer (QA engineer) to join our engineering team and lead the development of a suite of automated integration tests for eVideon products across various platforms. The ideal candidate will have experience testing complex web and mobile applications, both the user interface as well as various API protocols.

As a QA engineer, you will join an experienced and agile team of developers and engineers dedicated to helping healthcare organizations create an outstanding experience for patients in hospitals and at home. The QA engineer position requires a passion for creative problem-solving, an ability to balance teamwork with autonomy, a drive to ensure our software remains reliable and performant, and the technical knowledge to complete this work by writing, running, and maintaining a library of automated integration tests.

  • Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
  • Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools (JUnit, Espresso, Cucumber, Selenium Webdriver, etc)
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
  • Investigate the causes of non-conforming software
  • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
  • Proven work experience in software quality assurance
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
  • Experience with working from and documenting to an electronic ticketing system (JIRA, Trello)
  • Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Strong knowledge and experience with writing automated tests in open source tools (using Cucumber, Selenium Webdriver, JUnit, Espresso)
  • Familiarity with modern web browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari) and modern mobile platforms (Android, iOS)
  • Basic knowledge of Linux and Video Streaming, and basic scripting experience

Nice To Have

  • Solid knowledge of SQL and intermediate scripting experience
  • Basic software development or web development experience (Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
  • Experience with performance and/or security testing
  • Experience with healthcare software integration (EMR/EHR and/or HL7/FHIR)
